With #IdleNoMore making headlines over the last couple of months, The Agenda with Steve Paikin (TVO's awesome current affairs show) recently spent an episode discussing the movement — and the relationship between the First Nations and the Canadian government. It was pretty good. You can watch it here.
It actually reminded us that we've been meaning to post this other, older episode since we saw it early last year. It's a discussion of many of the same issues, with a couple of the same panelists — Pamela Palmater (a prof at Ryerson and one of the leading voices of #IdleNoMore) and Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux (the Nexen Chair in Aboriginal Leadership at The Banff Centre) — but it's from last January, long before the protests took off. Former Prime Minster Paul Martin and Clint Davis (CEO of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business) are part of the discussion too.
